Neocal 300

Composition: 1 ml solution for injection contains:

Calcium Gluconate 160mg

Calcium glycerophosphate 66 mg

Magnesium chloride, hexahydrate 64mg

Caffeine 20mg

Indications: The drug is used in the treatment of puerperal paresis, paraplegia, tetany

(pasture, transport) inflammatory process, some poisoning, serum sickness, rachitis and

osteomalacia, eclampsia sows and bitches, anaphylactic reactions and hemorrhagic

diathesis. It is used as a supportive therapy in various infectious diseases and during

convalescence.

Contraindications: The use of the drug is contraindicated in animals with renal

impairment and in hypovolemic condition.

Side effects: Fast i.v. applications or use higher doses can lead to sweating,

hyperaemia, tachycardia or bradycardia, sinus arrhythmia, dyspnea, convulsions and

collapse. After s.c.application of calcium salts can cause severe local reactions at the

site of application of the medicine.

Target species: horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs and cats.

Dosage and method of administration:

The preparation should be applied slow i.v. or s.c.

Daily therapeutic dose is:

Horses and cattle: 100-250 ml

Sheep, goats and pigs: 25-50 ml

Dogs: 5-20 ml

Cats: 1-5 ml

If necessary, treatment can be repeated after 24 hours.

The product should be applied by slow intravenous, warmed to body temperature.

In the case of side effects, drug application immediately suspended and the animals

treated symptomatically.

Instructions for proper use of the drug

The total volume of products that are applied s.c. at one injection site should be

limited.At one injection site should not be applied more than:

• 20 ml to horses and cattle,

• 10 ml to pigs

• 5 ml to sheep and goats

• 2 ml to dogs

The drug should not be given a racehorse 10 days before the race.

Special precautions for use in animals

The drug should not be given a racehorses 10 days before the race.

Calcium preparations may antagonize the effects of magnesium. The drug should not be

administered concurrently with cardiotonic glycosides, diuretics, fluoroquinolones,

tetracyclines and myorelaxants.

Special considerations for persons administering the veterinary medicinal product

to animals

If the drug comes into contact with skin or eyes, rinse them with plenty of running water.

Special considerations for storing drugs: Store in original container at temperatures

below 25 ° C, out of reach of children.

Special precautions for disposal and destruction of drug

Unused drug or drug residues shall be destroyed in accordance with applicable

regulations.

Shelf life in original packaging: 2 years.

Shelf life after first opening: 21 days (up to 25 ° C)
